We are therefore unable to obtain the 3 required quotes for the requested purchase. In addition, El Mirage Fire Department would like to continue to utilize the LIFEPAK series of heart monitor/defibrillators for the following reasons: • Suppression personnel are currently proficient using the Stryker LIFEPAK brand. The basic functionality and layout of controls of the new Stryker LIFEPAK monitor/defibrillators are comparable, thereby reducing training time needed to introduce the new monitors. • Staying with the same brand equipment will reduce ongoing cost through interchangeability of a number of accessories. • Stryker, Inc manufactured all the El Mirage Fire Department's current inventory of monitor/Defibrillator and has consistently delivered outstanding customer service and performance reliability.
