RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF MARICOPA COUNTY, PHOENIX, ARIZONA, IN 
CONCURRENCE WITH THE PRESIDING JUDGE OF THE SUPERIOR COURT IN MARICOPA COUNTY, 
AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF SURPLUS FUNDS FROM THE SUPERIOR COURT LAW LIBRARY FUND 
TO THE SUPERIOR COURT BUILDING REPAIR FUND.
WHEREAS, a county law library fund is established in each county consisting of monies received 
pursuant to section 12-284.03, subsection A, paragraph 4 and section 41-178;
WHEREAS, A.R.S. §12-305 authorizes the Board of Supervisors by resolution adopted by vote of the 
members, and with the concurrence of the Presiding Judge of the Superior Court in the county to 
transfer the surplus of the fund in excess of three thousand dollars to a building repair fund;
WHEREAS, Superior Court Law Library Fund currently exceeds $3,000; and
WHEREAS, the Presiding Judge of the Superior Court in Maricopa County and the Board of Supervisors 
concur that transfer of excess funds is appropriate to support the Court’s building repair fund which 
is used for additions, alterations, and repairs to a courthouse.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, authorizing the transfer of excess funds from the Superior Court 
Law Library Fund to the Superior Court Building Repair Fund in the amount of $300,000 with the 
approval of the Board of Supervisors and the concurrence of the Presiding Judge of the Superior 
Court.
