ROLL CALL
Present: Mayor Alexis Hermosillo; Vice Mayor Monica Dorcey; Councilmember Ryan Eldridge;
Councilmember Scottie Gentry; Councilmember Anita Norton; Councilmember Jacque
Parsons; Councilmember Donna Winston

CALL TO ORDER - meeting was called to order at 3:00 p.m.

WORK SESSION PRESENTATION
 
1.
Parks and Recreation Master Plan Work Session, with facilitation from contracted industry
consultant 110%. Discussion will focus on park and recreation system-wide ideas and priorities
for incorporation into plan goals and objectives. (Parks & Recreation)
Parks & Rec Director Sean VonRoenn introduced members of the consultant firm, 110%, Jamie
Sabbach, Farrell Buller, Ryan Short, and Jacob Leon, who each explained their respective role
in preparing the Parks Masterplan.  Ms. Sabbach presented a PowerPoint presentation outlining
the various steps in gathering data and public input required to prepare the plan.  The members
had already met with staff prior to this Work Session, were meeting with Council at this Work
Session, and would be presenting at the public meeting to be held at the Senior Center,
Thursday, January 23, 2025. Council was asked numerous questions regarding their current
perception of the El Mirage parks, what specifics were felt necessary for improvement, and the
long-range vision of the parks department and facilities.

ADJOURNMENT - meeting was adjourned at 4:32 p.m.
