Resolution R25-04-03 Police MOU

RESOLUTION R25-04-03 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY 
OF EL MIRAGE, MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA, APPROVING 
THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE 
CITY OF EL MIRAGE AND THE EL MIRAGE POLICE EMPLOYEES 
ASSOCIATION (EMPEA) 
 
WHEREAS the City of El Mirage (“City’) and the El Mirage Police Employees 
Association (“EMPEA”) through their designated representatives have met in good faith to reach 
an agreement for matters concerning wages, benefits, and working conditions; and, 
 
WHEREAS the current Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City and 
EMPEA which was approved by the City Council by Resolution R21-05-13 on May 18, 2021, 
amended by Resolution R22-12-32 on December 6, 2022, and Resolution R23-05-14 on May 16, 
2023, is set to expire on June 30, 2025; and, 
 
WHEREAS, once approved by the City Council the MOU shall become a binding 
agreement between the City and the EMPEA. 
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of El Mirage: 
 
1.  That the City Council approves the successor MOU between the City and EMPEA 
for the period of July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2028, a copy of which is attached 
hereto as Exhibit A.
