Axon is able to bundle all our existing contracts into one 5-year contract. By accepting the 5-year option, the city will save $611,919 compared to a year-by-year contract. Axon includes a dynamic report writing program that allows officer to select customizable templates for various report types. These programs reduce the time officers spend writing reports, so they can return to public safety quicker. 3. El Mirage PD officers are required by policy to carry Tasers, and are mandated by case law to employ industry best practices, which includes the use of Tasers and other less-lethal force options. The use of drones and Axon Draft One are established by industry best practices. On Axon Draft One: Axon Draft One is an AI-powered tool developed by Axon, designed to assist law enforcement in generating draft reports from body-worn camera audio. There are no state-specific statutory requirements or code provisions that mandate the use of Axon Draft One itself. There are no federal or state statutes or code provisions that explicitly require the use of Axon Draft One drafting tools. Its adoption is a discretionary decision made by law enforcement agencies to improve efficiency and increase officer presence in the community. Axon is in compliance with Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Compliance: Axon Draft One, as part of Axon’s cloud-based ecosystem (e.g., Axon Evidence), does comply with the FBI’s CJIS Security Policy if it processes or stores criminal justice information (CJI). This includes requirements for access control, authentication, encryption, and audit trails to safeguard sensitive data. Axon’s products exceed CJIS requirements with additional encryption measures. 5.
