ROLL CALL
Present: Mayor Alexis Hermosillo (via phone); Councilmember Roy Delgado; Vice Mayor Monica
Dorcey; Councilmember Anita Norton; Commissioner Mike Hutchinson (via phone);
Councilmember David Shapera; Councilmember Donna Winston

CALL TO ORDER - The meeting was called to order at 9:05 am.

WORK SESSION PRESENTATION
 
1.
A discussion of the zoning text amendments to the El Mirage Title XV: Zoning Code: Land
Usage Volume 2, Chapter 154. (Development Services) 
Senior Planner Jose Macias introduced Matthew Klyszeiko with Michael Baker International. 
Mr. Klyszeiko explained that the work session was to discuss specific changes to the zoning
code chapter 154.  He presented information and requested Council direction on the following
topics: Definitions, Administrative Practices, Permitted Land Use Table, Development
Standards, Recreational Marijuana, Adult or Sexually Oriented Business, Temporary Uses,
Off-Street Parking Requirements, Landscaping Requirements, and Signage.
There were discussions held on each topic, and it was determined that Mr. Klyszeiko would
take the information and create a list of changes that were going to be made based on the day's
discussions.  He stated he would be able to present the edited zoning code chapter to the
Council either in January or February 2022.

ADJOURNMENT - The work session adjourned at 2:32 pm.
