During this audit PLG took inventory and fixture specifications which have been analyzed to find the most cost-effective solutions to meet the requirements expressed by the City for LED conversion project. Photometric drawings illustrating the scope of work and projected light levels are attached to this proposal. I. Scope of Work: PLG proposes to furnish labor, equipment, supervision, and other items of value to complete the following: 1. Energy and Maintenance Savings: Energy Savings LED lights consume less electricity to produce the same illumination as traditional sources. To accurately project what the actual realized energy savings of a LED light source is, there are several industry tools to calculate this. These tools are sponsored by trusted agencies, like the US Department of Energy, SRP, and APS, and are independently tested and certified for their energy performance. All numbers in this proposal use these tools to ensure the most accurate projection of estimated energy savings based on current operating hours of fully functional lighting system. Fluorescent fixtures require regular changing of the light bulb, as well as periodical replacement of the ballast and other associated electrical components that make the light work. LEDs on the other hand have no light bulbs to change, and usually have only one electrical component, the driver. This results in savings in the cost to maintain the lighting system. The DOE has conducted vast surveys and audits to provide cost associated with maintaining traditional light sources.
