remains in full force and effect provided, however, that this Bond is executed pursuant to the provisions of Section 34-201, Arizona
Revised Statutes, and all liabilities on this Bond shall be determined in accordance with the provisions of the section to the extent
as if it were copied at length herein.

Pursuant to the request for bids to be opened on November 22, 2022 at 1:30 p.m., Arizona Time, at the
City of El Mirage City Hall, 10000 N. El Mirage Road, El Mirage, AZ, for the above project, the
Contractor proposes to complete all the work shown on the plans and in accordance with these bid
documents and technical specifications, including furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials, at the

Contech says the pedestrian bridge has about a 6-month lead time. This lead time will
conflict with the 90-day contract time if the City expects the contractor to start construction
right away.

The City will expect the contractor to start construction as soon as the Notice to Proceed is
issued, which could be around 1-2 months after the project is brought to the December 6,
2022, City Council Meeting, depending on when the City receives approval from Maricopa

long lead items to determine if the contract time needs to be extended, however, the City
expects most of construction to be completed within the 90-day period.

The contractor will be required to put together the deferred structural submittal with their
supplier for the bridge, footings, and concrete abutment.

We’re preparing a bid proposal for the EM22-PK01 El Mirage Multi-Use Trail Project and I
see that it calls out for Builders Risk. We were wondering if our Installation Floater ($5M

limit) would be acceptable in lieu of Builders Risk?
Builders’ Risk Insurance will not be required for this project.

Will the 4’ retaining wall require any form liner, integral color, surface texturing, paint or

other architectural detailing?

The retaining wall shall be constructed per the ADOT detail on Sheet CV-403 in the Final

Construction Plans. No additional finish is required.

Will the subgrade require any application of pre-emergent herbicide?

No.
