Incremental 3% cost increases are reflected annually. Vehicles will be recommended for replacement when they reach 100,000 miles or 12 years of age. Operational costs were calculated using the IRS Standard Mileage Rate of $0.56 per mile. Costs were calculated by multiplying the average number of miles per year for a Public Works vehicle (6000) times the IRS Standard Mileage Rate. The 2021 National Community Survey found that 47% of El Mirage residents rate the quality of parks and recreation positively, 55% rate the quality of city parks positively, and 80% feel it is important to focus on the overall quality of parks and recreation opportunities in the next 2 years.
