Present: Mayor Alexis Hermosillo; Vice Mayor David Shapera; Councilmember Roy Delgado;
Councilmember Monica Dorcey; Councilmember Bob Jones; Councilmember Anita Norton;
Councilmember Donna Winston

CALL TO ORDER - MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT 5:00 PM
 
3.
WORK SESSION PRESENTATION
 
1.
Fiscal year 2023-2024 recreation programming discussion and update.
City Manager Crystal Dyches asked Council to discuss and provide staff direction on the
following:
1)  Naming of the trail
2)  YMCA Agreement
3)  DUSD agreement
4)  Recreation Services
5)  Recycling Program
Discussions determined the name of the trail will be Hohokam Trail, the YMCA and DUSD
agreements are moving forward,  and recreation programming will begin with the hiring of a
Director to oversee a Parks and Recreation department.
  
 
2.
Presentation from the Public Works department on the FY24 Recycling and Pavement
Maintenance Programs.
Due to the lack of time, it was determined to discuss these items during the City Manager's
Comments in the upcoming 6:00 pm Regular Council meeting.
