O24-05-02 - 2024 Council Meeting Date Change

ORDINANCE O24-05-02
AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL MIRAGE,
ARIZONA, AMENDING ORDINANCE O23-10-12 ADOPTING THE 2024 CALENDAR
FOR REGULAR MEETINGS OF THE COMMON COUNCIL FIXING THE DATES,
TIMES, AND LOCATION OF SUCH MEETINGS
WHEREAS the 2024 Calendar for Regular Meetings of the Common Council was adopted
October 17, 2023, with Ordinance O23-10-12; and,
WHEREAS the 2024 General election date of November 5, 2024, coincides with the scheduled
2024 Council meeting date in November; and,
WHEREAS the City of El Mirage is a Vote Center for the 2024 General Election and voting is
held in the Council Chambers of City Hall, thus, creating a conflict with the scheduled Council meeting
requiring rescheduling of the November 5, 2024, Council meeting;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City of El Mirage Mayor and Council as follows:
Section 1. Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.02, notice is hereby given that the regular meeting of the
Common Council of the City of El Mirage for November 2024 shall be changed from November 5, 2024, to
Wednesday, November 13, 2024 and shall be held at 6:00 p.m., unless otherwise properly noticed:
January 3, 2024 - WEDNESDAY
June 18, 2024
January 17, 2024 - WEDNESDAY
July 2, 2024
February 6, 2024
July 3, 2024 through
February 21, 2024 - WEDNESDAY
August 19, 2024 – SUMMER HIATUS
March 5, 2024

CITY HALL CLOSED MONDAY NOVEMBER 11, 2024 FOR VETERAN’S DAY
Section 2. The regular meeting of the Common Council of the City of El Mirage shall be held either virtually and/or
in person at the El Mirage Council Chambers located at 10000 N. El Mirage Road in El Mirage Arizona, unless otherwise
changed to another location by the Mayor giving not less than seventy-two hours  notification of  the  change of  location
to the  public  by  posting  notice of  change in the locations where the agenda is posted  and  providing  personal  notice  of
the  change  to  all other Council members not less than twenty-four hours before the beginning of the meeting.
