RE: Paloma lrrigation and Drainage District; Cancellation of Election
Dear Ms. Medaris:
ln accordance with your instructions and pursuant to A.R.S. S 16-410(A), Paloma
lrrigation and Drainage District hereby requests cancellation of its election of directors
scheduled and noticed for November 12,2025. Paloma lrrigation and Drainage District has
received timely nomination petitions and/or nomination papers from only two candidates - one
for each of the two division seats whose terms are expiring. Those candidates are, in each
instance, the current incumbents, as follows:
Gerald Rovey, Divisron 1
Robert T VanHofwegen, Division 2
Paloma lrrigation and Drainage District respectfully requests that the Maricopa County
Board of Supervisors cancel the November 12,2025 election, and appoint the above-named
persons to fill the 2-year term of director in their respective divisions commencing January 1,
2025. Upon receipt of notification confirming such cancellation and appointments, paloma
lrrigation and Drainage District will mail a notice thereof to all qualified electors of record in the
affected divisions.
