Many of the sewer lines are approaching the end of their useful life and no program currently exists to replace any sections of the system. This program will provide funding on an annual basis to video inspect and replace sections of the sewer system that are found to have failed or show signs of failure in the near future. The data used to determine the lines to be replaced will be provided through a rotating video inspection program. The 2021 National Community Survey found that 74% of El Mirage residents rate wastewater services favorably, and 91% of residents feel it is important to focus on utility infrastructure in the next two years. Modified: Increased amount to cover new estimate costs and add FY2029 amount.
