ORDINANCE NO. O21-29 
 
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
GLENDALE, 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY, 
ARIZONA, 
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A RELEASE OF 
DRAINAGE EASEMENT AND ASSOCIATED RELEASE OF 
CLAIMS BY CAMELBACK RANCH SPRING TRAINING, LLC 
FOR LOT 4 OF CAMELBACK RANCH, IN PHOENIX, 
ARIZONA AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO RECORD A 
CERTIFIED COPY OF THIS ORDINANCE. 
 
 
WHEREAS, as owner of parcels within the Glendale Spring Training Complex, the City is 
benefited by a Drainage Easement dated August 2, 1990, and recorded as Document No. 1990-
0365462, Official Records of Maricopa County, Arizona; and 
 
 
WHEREAS, the City has been requested by the City of Phoenix to release its interest in the 
Drainage Easement to allow for development of Lot 4 as platted in the Final Plat for Glendale Spring 
Training Complex, dated February 6, 2009, and recorded as Book 1020, Page 39, Official Records of 
Maricopa County, Arizona; and 
 
 
WHEREAS, regional drainage infrastructure improvements have subsequently been completed, 
eliminating the need for drainage facilities and the associated Drainage Easement within Lot 4; and 
 
 
WHEREAS, Camelback Spring Training, LLC, is acquiring said Lot 4 from the City of Phoenix 
with the intent to develop the property; and 
 
  
WHEREAS, Camelback Spring Training, LLC has agreed to execute a Release of Claims 
releasing, remising, and forever discharging the City from any claims associated with the release of the 
Drainage Easement. 
 
 
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: 
 
 
SECTION 1.  That the City Council hereby approves the Release of Drainage Easement and 
Release of Claims for the Drainage Easement on Lot 4 of Glendale Spring Training Complex, Phoenix, 
Arizona and directs the City Manager to execute said Releases on behalf of the City. 
 
 
SECTION 2.  That the City Manager and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute 
and deliver such Releases on behalf of the City of Glendale.  
 
 
SECTION 3.    That the provisions of this ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days 
after passage of this ordinance by the Glendale City Council.
