RESOLUTION NO. R21-45      
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
GLENDALE, 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY, 
ARIZONA, 
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ENTERING INTO OF 
AN 
INTERGOVERNMENTAL 
AGREEMENT 
WITH 
THE 
ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (IGA 21-
0008180-1) FOR THE INSTALLATION OF BICYCLE LANES 
AND ENHANCEMENT OF PEDESTRIAN FACILITIES AT THE 
INTERSECTION OF 67TH AVENUE BETWEEN MISSOURI 
AVENUE AND CHOLLA STREET.  
 
WHEREAS, the Federal Government has approved funds through the Federal Highway 
Administration (“FHWA”) agency to Glendale to improve bicycle lanes and pedestrian enhancements 
on 67th Avenue between Missouri Avenue and Cholla Street (“Project”); and  
 
WHEREAS, the “FHWA” will be responsible for 94.3% of the “Project” and the City will be 
responsible for 5.7% of the “Project.” 
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: 
 
SECTION 1.  That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and the citizens 
thereof to enter into the Intergovernmental Agreement with the Arizona Department of Transportation 
for the installation of bicycle lanes and enhancement of pedestrian facilities at the intersection of 67th 
Avenue between Missouri Avenue and Cholla Street (IGA 21-0008180-1), which agreement is now on 
file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Glendale.  
 
SECTION 2.  That the City Manager or designee and City Clerk are authorized and directed 
to execute and deliver any and all documents necessary to effectuate said Agreement on behalf of the 
City of Glendale.
