RESOLUTION NO. R21-39
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GLENDALE,
MARICOPA
COUNTY,
ARIZONA,
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ENTERING INTO OF
AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH MARICOPA
COUNTY FOR THE REACT INTEGRATED CORRIDOR
MANAGEMENT PILOT PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the Loop 101 Agua Fria Freeway transversing the City of Glendale is a substantial
roadway infostructure for both Glendale and the Valley Metro area;
WHEREAS, smoothly flowing traffic on major freeways throughout the City of Glendale is in
the best interest of Glendale residents; and
WHEREAS, Maricopa County desires to institute a pilot program with the City of Glendale to
better manage accident and other unforeseen events on the Loop 101 through the REACT Program;
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows:
SECTION 1. That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and the citizens
thereof that the Intergovernmental Agreement with Maricopa County be entered into for the React
Integrated Corridor Management Pilot Program, which agreement is now on file in the office of the City
Clerk of the City of Glendale.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager or designee and the City Clerk be authorized and
directed to execute and deliver any and all documents necessary to effectuate said Agreement on behalf
of the City of Glendale.
