A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GLENDALE,
MARICOPA
COUNTY,
ARIZONA,
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ENTERING INTO OF
AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH MARICOPA
COUNTY CONCERNING DEVELOPMENT IN THE CITY’S 10-
FOOT-WIDE STRIP ANNEXATION ASSOCIATED WITH A
MULTI-FAMILY PROJECT ENTITLED “INNOVATION VILLAS
ON CAMELBACK” IN MARICOPA COUNTY AT 12730 WEST
CAMELBACK ROAD.
WHEREAS, in 1978, the City of Glendale approved Ordinance No. 1020 New Series, which
had the effect of annexing a 10-foot-wide strip of County land into the City of Glendale; and
WHEREAS, a multi-family development is proposed outside the City of Glendale’s boundaries
and in the jurisdiction of Maricopa County at 12730 West Camelback Road; and
WHEREAS, the City’s 10-foot-wide strip annexation borders the development on the south
and east sides; and
WHEREAS, the City and County wish to enter into an agreement that resolves any issues that
may be created by the location of the strip annexation in relationship to the Innovation Villas on
Camelback development.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows:
SECTION 1. That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and its citizens that
the City of Glendale enter into an intergovernmental agreement with Maricopa County for a multi-family
development at 12730 West Camelback Road. The agreement will be on file in the office of the City
Clerk of the City of Glendale.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor and City Clerk is authorized and directed to execute and deliver
such agreement on behalf of the City of Glendale.
