RESOLUTION NO. R21-72 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
GLENDALE, 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY, 
ARIZONA, 
AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE AMERICAN 
RESCUE PLAN ACT (ARPA) GRANT FROM THE ARIZONA 
STATE 
LIBRARY ARCHIVES AND PUBLIC RECORDS 
AGENCY FOR THE DIGITAL INCLUSION EFFORTS OPTION 
PROVIDED BY THE ARPA, IN THE APPROXIMATE AMOUNT 
OF $15,274.49 ON BEHALF OF THE GLENDALE PUBLIC 
LIBRARY.  
 
WHEREAS, the American Rescue Plan Act grant funds will expand the Mobile Wi-Fi Hotspot 
Lending program currently offered by the Glendale Public Library; and 
 
WHEREAS, the Glendale Public Library had made application for grant funds from the State 
Library system in anticipation of receipt of funds from the American Rescue Plan. 
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: 
 
SECTION 1.  That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and the citizens 
thereof to accept the American Rescue Plan Act Grant from the Arizona State Library, Archives and 
Public Records Agency, for the expansion of the Mobile Wi-Fi Hotspot Lending program, in the 
approximate amount of $15,274.49 on behalf of the Glendale Public Library. 
 
SECTION 2.  That the City Manager or designee and City Clerk are authorized and directed 
to execute and deliver any and all documents necessary for the acceptance of said grant on behalf of the 
City of Glendale.  The grant agreement and any other documents necessary for the acceptance of the 
grant are on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Glendale.
