RESOLUTION OF THE MARICOPA COUNTY 
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS 
 
APPROVING THE SUBMISSION OF PROJECTS FOR CONSIDERATION IN 
ARIZONA’S 2026 HIGHWAY SAFETY PLAN 
C-50-25- 
 
WHEREAS, the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety is seeking proposals from 
state and local jurisdictions for projects relating to all aspects of highway safety; and 
 
WHEREAS, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, through the Maricopa 
County Sheriff's Office is interested in submitting projects to be considered for funding 
in the form of reimbursable grants from the National Highway Traffic Safety 
Administration; 
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Maricopa County Board of 
Supervisors hereby:  
• Approves the filing and acceptance of grant funding from the priority 
Program areas of Accident Investigation, Impaired Driving (DUI 
Enforcement & Underage Drinking Enforcement), Police Traffic 
Services/Speed Control and Buckle Up AZ Enforcement Campaign in 
an amount not to exceed $646,320 and 
 
• Authorizes the Sheriff, or his designee, to submit all financial and other 
reporting documents required in connection with such grants.
