A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GLENDALE,
MARICOPA
COUNTY,
ARIZONA,
AUTHORIZING THE EXTENSION OF THE EXPIRATION DATE
OF THE ARIZONA SUPREME COURT FY2021 COURT
SECURITY IMPROVEMENT GRANT (GPT #210747CS01) IN
THE APPROXIMATE AMOUNT OF $20,000 ON BEHALF OF
THE GLENDALE CITY COURT FOR PURCHASE AND
INSTALLATION OF KEVLAR PROTECTIVE BARRIERS IN
THE GLENDALE COURTROOMS.
WHEREAS, the City Council approved Resolution No. R20-110 on September 8, 2020
authorizing the acceptance and expenditure of the grant award in the approximate amount of $20,000
for installation of Kevlar protective barriers in Glendale courtrooms; and
WHEREAS, the Glendale City Court requested and received a grant extension for FY2021
Court Security Improvement to be extended from June 30, 2021 until June 30, 2022.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows:
SECTION 1. That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and the citizens to
extend the term of the Arizona Supreme Court FY2021 Court Security Improvement Grant Agreement
(GPT #210747CS01) for the purchase and installation of Kevlar Protective Barriers in the courtrooms
at Glendale City Court through June 30, 2022.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute
and deliver such extension on behalf of the City of Glendale.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Glendale,
Maricopa County, Arizona, this 14th day of September, 2021.
