ORDINANCE NO. O21-66 
 
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
GLENDALE, 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY, 
ARIZONA, 
AUTHORIZING 
THE 
EXECUTION 
OF 
A 
SPECIAL 
WARRANTY DEED TO ACCEPT A 0.493+/- ACRE PARCEL 
OF LAND LOCATED AT 6524 WEST SACK DRIVE IN 
GLENDALE, ARIZONA FOR A FUTURE WELLSITE AND 
DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO RECORD A CERTIFIED 
COPY OF THE ORDINANCE. 
 
WHEREAS, the City of Glendale and VHS of Arrowhead entered into a Memorandum of 
Understanding (MOU) on July 2nd, 2021, C-21-0601. 
 
 
WHEREAS, VHS is the owner of a parcel, Maricopa County Assessor’s Parcel Number 
200-28-857, containing an existing well, ADWR Well #55-625054. 
 
 
WHEREAS, VHS and the City of Glendale have agreed that the City will abandon the 
existing well, and VHS will dedicate a small parcel for a future wellsite. 
 
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: 
 
 
SECTION 1.  That VHS wishes to dedicate a small parcel for a future wellsite in the 
City’s water supply system. 
 
 
SECTION 2.    That the City Council hereby authorizes and instructs the City Manager to 
execute the Special Warranty Deed in Attachment 1 granting the parcel of land to the City.   
 
 
SECTION 3.   That the City Clerk is accordingly instructed and authorized to forward a 
certified copy of this ordinance for recording to the Maricopa County Recorder’s Office. 
 
 
SECTION 4.   That the provisions of this ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) 
days after passage of this ordinance by the Glendale City Council.
