ORDINANCE NO. O21-82
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GLENDALE, MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA, AMENDING
THE GLENDALE CITY CODE, CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE II,
DIVISION 1, BY AMENDING SECTION 2-20 RELATING TO
COUNCIL DISTRICTS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows:
SECTION 1. That the Glendale City Code, Chapter 2, Article II, Division 1, Section 2-
20 is hereby deleted in its entirety and a new Section 2-20 shall read as follows:
Sec. 2-20. Council Districts.
There is hereby established six (6) Council districts for the City described by census
tracts and enumeration districts as located within the City of Glendale and set forth by the United
States Department of Commerce, Bureau of the Census, in the 2020 Decennial Census of the
City, as follows:

SECTION 2. Whereas the immediate operation of the provisions of this Ordinance is
necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, and safety of the City of Glendale, an
emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, adoption, and approval by the Mayor and Council of the City of Glendale,
and it is hereby exempt from the referendum provisions of the Constitution and laws of the State
of Arizona.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager and City Clerk are authorized and directed to
execute and deliver such agreement on behalf of the City of Glendale.
