ORDINANCE NO. O21-92
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GLENDALE, MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA, AMENDING
THE GLENDALE CITY CODE, CHAPTER 26 (OFFENSES-
MISCELLANEOUS), ARTICLE I (GENERAL), BY ADDING
SECTION 26-73 (CRIMINAL LITTERING) AND SETTING
FORTH AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows:
SECTION 1. That the Glendale City Code Chapter 26, Section 26-73 is amended by
adding the following language and shall read as follows:
CITY CODE CHAPTER 26
Article I- General
Sec. 26-73 Criminal Littering.
A. A person commits criminal littering if such person without lawful authority throws,
places, drops or permits to be dropped on public property or property of another any
litter, destructive or injurious material which he does not immediately remove.
B. This section applies to criminal littering when the amount of litter or prohibited material
is less than 100 pounds. Criminal littering in an amount over 100 pounds will be
enforced through A.R.S. 13-1603.
C. A person violating this ordinance will be charged with a petty offense for a first offense.
Any subsequent offense in a twelve-month period will be treated as a Class 2
misdemeanor.
