RESOLUTION NO. R22-11     
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GLENDALE, MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA, ADJUSTING
LANDFILL RATE FEES PURSUANT TO GLENDALE CITY
CODE; AND SETTING FORTH EFFECTIVE DATES.
WHEREAS, rate adjustments are necessary to provide the City with adequate financial
resources necessary to maintain uninterrupted landfill operations and management services and
provide high quality customer service to Glendale residents and remain in compliance with
federal, state and local regulations; and 
WHEREAS, the Field Operations Department is continuously reviewing rates and fees to
ensure timely replacement of equipment and adequate staffing; and 
WHEREAS, the last rate increase for landfill gate rate collection fees for waste disposed
at the landfill occurred on January 1, 2009; and 
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Glendale City Code, Chapter 18, Article IV, Section 18-141,
a schedule of landfill collection services and fees shall be established by resolution by the City
Council. 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows:
SECTION 1.  That beginning on March 1, 2022, the minimum gate transaction fee shall
be established at $32.25 per use, the gate rate collection fee shall increase to $35.25 per ton, the
hard to handle waste fee shall increase to $135.25 per ton, the tire fee shall increase to $4.00 per
tire, and the freon evacuation fee shall increase to $20.00 per unit. 
SECTION 2.  That beginning January 1, 2023, the minimum gate transaction fee shall
increase to $33.00 per use, the gate rate collection fee shall remain at $35.25 per ton, the hard to
handle waste fee shall increase to $137.00 per ton, the tire fee shall increase to $5.00 per tire, and
the freon evacuation fee shall remain $20.00 per unit. 
SECTION 3.  That beginning January 1, 2024, the minimum gate transaction fee shall
increase to $34.00 per use, the gate rate collection fee shall remain at $35.25 per ton, the hard to
handle waste fee shall increase to $138.00 per ton, the tire fee shall increase to $6.00 per tire, and
the freon evacuation fee shall remain $20.00 per unit. 
SECTION 4.   That beginning January 1, 2025, the minimum gate transaction fee shall
increase to $35.00 per use, the gate rate collection fee shall remain at $35.25 per ton, the hard to
handle waste fee shall increase to $139.00 per ton, the tire fee shall remain at $6.00 per tire, and
the freon evacuation shall remain $20.00 per unit. 
SECTION 5.   That beginning January 1, 2026, the minimum gate transaction fee shall
increase to $36.00 per use, the gate rate collection fee shall remain at $35.25 per ton, the hard to

handle waste fee shall increase to $140.00 per ton, the tire fee shall remain at $6.00 per tire, and
the freon evacuation fee shall remain $20.00 per unit.
