RESOLUTION NO. R22-25
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
GLENDALE, 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY, 
ARIZONA, 
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ENTERING INTO OF 
AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE 
FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT OF MARICOPA COUNTY FOR 
THE 103rd AVENUE LANDFILL DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT 
PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the City owns a closed landfill within the City of Peoria on 103rd Avenue, 
one-quarter mile south of Olive Avenue; and
WHEREAS, due to lack of proper drainage facilities across the site, upstream properties 
have experienced flooding; and
WHEREAS, historical flooding has and may continue to affect the safety of the citizens
of Peoria in neighborhoods in the vicinity of the 103rd Avenue and Olive Avenue; and 
WHEREAS, the Flood Control District of Maricopa County has offered financial 
assistance to the City to address the potential flooding and drainage issues.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows:
SECTION 1.  That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale that it enter 
into an Intergovernmental Agreement with the Flood Control District of Maricopa County (IGA 
FCD 2022A004) for the 103rd Avenue Landfill Drainage Improvement Project, which agreement 
is now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Glendale. 
SECTION 2.  That the Mayor or City Manager and the City Clerk be authorized and 
directed to execute and deliver said agreement on behalf of the City of Glendale.
