Scoping Statement The Solid Waste Division offers bulk trash collection to City of Glendale residents one time per month. Bulk trash placement and collection services offer residents the opportunity to dispose of items that do not fit into their residential container. The Solid Waste Division has set rules and guidelines for types of materials, size of material, times of placement, location of placement, and containment requirements. These rules are listed on the City of Glendale website, and provided to residents through mailers (calendar, magnet), downloadable calendar, and social media. Residents will also receive a tag when violations occur, which has additional rules and information. Goal To get Council direction on staff expanding the current outreach and communication program used to educate residents on rules of the bulk trash collection program as well as funding options. Deliverables Upon consensus from the Council, the deliverables for this CIOSI may consist of the following: Expansion of standard outreach and education program, including funding options for additional communication options. Timeline Staff will present to Council at a spring 2022 Workshop Administration Field Operations staff time required to complete the work is expected to be 40 hours. FIELD OPERATIONS MEMORANDUM
