City Code (GCC) Chapter 24 Motor 
Vehicles and Traffic

Lot size distinction in GCC 24-68
–June 22, 2021, Council approved adjusting 
the distinction from 12,000 sq/ft to 8,000 
sq/ft
–Code Enforcement believes this needs to be 
adjusted back to 12,000 sq/ft
• We have track home lots well over 8,000 sq/ft
• 12,000 sq/ft is consistent other sections of the code

Recreational Vehicle Street Parking
–GCC 24-61b currently limits street parking of 
RV’s to 1 hour
–Code Enforcement is recommending the 
following exception;
• Recreational vehicles shall not be parked on a public 
street other than as limited in section (b) above, 
except for periods of up to twenty-four (24) hours 
within seven (7) consecutive days for the purpose of 
loading, unloading, and cleaning. The recreational 
vehicle must be registered to the owner or occupant 
of the residence it is parked in front of.
