RESOLUTION NO. R22-43
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GLENDALE,
MARICOPA
COUNTY,
ARIZONA,
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ENTERING INTO OF
AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE
CITY OF PEORIA FOR EMERGENCY BACKUP WATER
SERVICES.
WHEREAS, the City and the City of Peoria have previously entered into
intergovernmental agreements for the treatment and transport of domestic water, including
multiple agreements related to the treatment and delivery of water services; and
WHEREAS, the City desires for Peoria to agree that it will supply up to 10 million
gallons per day of backup domestic water in the event of emergency operations.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows:
SECTION 1. That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and the
citizens thereof that the Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of Peoria for Emergency
Backup Water Services.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager or designee and the City Clerk are authorized and
directed to execute and deliver such agreement on behalf of the City of Glendale.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of
Glendale, Maricopa County, Arizona, this 10th day of May, 2022.
