RESOLUTION NO. R22-59
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE,
MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO APPLY FOR AN FAA AIRPORT
IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM GRANT UP TO THE AMOUNT OF
$1,679,752 FOR THE REHABILITATION OF TAXIWAY A AT THE
GLENDALE
MUNICIPAL
AIRPORT,
TO
SIGN
ALL
CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THE GRANTS, TO ENTER
AGREEMENTS WITH U.S. DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACCEPTING STATE MONEY, AND TO
AMEND EXISTING GRANT AGREEMENTS IF NECESSARY TO
ACCEPT THESE GRANTS, AND TO AUTHORIZE STAFF TO
ACCEPT AND EXPEND ALL FUNDS AND TO MAKE. THESE
AUTHORIZATIONS EFFECTIVE UNTIL OCTOBER 15, 2022.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows:
SECTION 1. That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and its citizens that
the City accept and expend funds in an amount up to $1,679,752 for the rehabilitation of Taxiway A at
the Glendale Municipal Airport.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager or designee and City Clerk are authorized and directed to
execute and deliver any and all documents necessary for the entering into, acceptance and expenditure of
such grants on behalf of the City of Glendale.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Glendale,
Maricopa County, Arizona, this 28th day of June, 2022.
