RESOLUTION NO. R22-50  
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
GLENDALE, 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY, 
ARIZONA, 
AUTHORIZING THE ENTERING INTO OF A SUBGRANT 
AWARD AGREEMENT (NO. 2022-044) WITH THE ARIZONA 
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY AND AUTHORIZING 
THE ACCEPTANCE AND EXPENDITURE OF THE VICTIMS 
OF 
CRIME 
ACT 
(VOCA) 
ANTITERRORISM 
AND 
EMERGENCY 
ASSISTANCE 
PROGRAM 
FOR 
CRIME 
VICTIM COMPENSATION AND/OR ASSISTANCE GRANT 
AWARD IN THE APPROXIMATE AMOUNT OF $58,750 FOR 
THE GLENDALE POLICE DEPARTMENT.    
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: 
 
SECTION 1.  That the City Council of the City of Glendale authorizes the Chief of 
Police to enter into Subgrant Award Agreement No. 2022-044 with the Arizona Department of 
Public Safety, and accept the VOCA Antiterrorism and Emergency Assistance Program for 
Crime Victim Compensation and/or Assistance Award in the approximate amount of $58,750 on 
behalf of the City of Glendale Police Department for the project period of May 2, 2022 through 
May 20, 2023. 
 
SECTION 2.  That the City Council of the City of Glendale authorizes expenditure of 
said grant funds for the Glendale Police Department to provide outreach and assistance to 
victims of the May 20, 2020, shooting at the Westgate Entertainment District in Glendale, 
Arizona. 
 
SECTION 3.  That the City Manager or designee and the City Clerk be authorized and 
directed to execute any and all documents necessary to enter into said agreement and for the 
acceptance and expenditure of said grant award on behalf of the City of Glendale.
