A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
GLENDALE, 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY, 
ARIZONA, 
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ENTERING 
INTO 
OF 
AMENDMENT 
NO. 
002 
TO 
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT NO. 100501 
WITH THE CITY OF PHOENIX FOR SHARING OF 
TELECOMMUNICATIONS FACILITIES. 
 
 
WHEREAS, on July 2, 2002, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 3593 New Series, 
which authorized and directed the City Manager to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement 
No. 100501 (City of Glendale Contract No. C-4551) and Supplemental Agreement No. 1 with 
the City of Phoenix for sharing of communications facilities to provide radio coverage to the 
Glendale Fire Department, Police Department, Public Works Department, and other West Valley 
agencies; and 
 
 
WHEREAS, on April 24, 2012, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 4568 New 
Series, which authorized and directed the City Manager to enter into Amendment No. 001, 
Supplemental Agreement No. 1, and Site Specific Supplement No. 002 to Intergovernmental 
Agreement Contract No. 100501 (Contract No. C-4551) to extend the contact an additional ten 
(10) years, to add two VHF antennas, and to allow City of Phoenix to install a Phoenix Fire 
Department VHF receivers and a microwave shot; and 
 
 
WHEREAS, the City of Glendale and City of Phoenix wish to enter into Amendment No. 
002 to Intergovernmental Agreement No. 100501 (Contract No. C-4551) to extend the contract 
an additional ten (10) years, beginning June 1, 2022 and ending on June 1, 2032. 
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: 
 
SECTION 1.  That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and the 
citizens thereof that Amendment No. 002 to Intergovernmental Agreement between the City of 
Phoenix (No. 100501) and the City of Glendale (C-4551) be entered into, which agreement is 
now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Glendale.  
 
SECTION 2.  That the City Manager and City Clerk are authorized and directed to 
execute and deliver such agreement on behalf of the City of Glendale.
