RESOLUTION NO. R22-103 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
GLENDALE, MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA, DIRECTING 
AND 
ENTERING 
INTO 
AN 
INTERGOVERNMENTAL 
AGREEMENT BETWEEN MARICOPA COUNTY HUMAN 
SERVICES 
DEPARTMENT 
FOR 
EMERGENCY 
RENT 
ASSISTANCE PROGRAM. 
 
WHEREAS, Maricopa County will provide rental and utility assistance to qualifying 
households for the City of Glendale in accordance with the City’s Community Action Program 
Emergency Rent Assistance Policy and Procedure. Services are to assist with the stabilization of 
the households’ immediate basic needs; and  
 
WHEREAS, Maricopa County shall provide the City of Glendale $3,693,000 in 
Assistance Listing Number (ALN) 21.023, American Rescue Plan Act Emergency Rental 
Assistance provided to the County through the U.S. Department of Treasury. 
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: 
 
SECTION 1.  That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and the 
citizens thereof that the Intergovernmental Agreement between the City of Glendale and the 
Maricopa County Human Services Department be entered into, which agreement is now on file 
in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Glendale. 
 
SECTION 2.  That the City Manager and City Clerk are authorized and directed to 
execute and deliver such agreement on behalf of the City of Glendale.  
 
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Glendale,
