RESOLUTION NO.R22-104 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
GLENDALE, MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA, APPROVING 
AND AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF ADDITIONAL 
DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT 
HOUSING 
CHOICE 
VOUCHERS 
UNDER 
THE 
CONSOLIDATED APPROPRIATIONS ACT NOT TO EXCEED 
$500,000 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO 
EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS RELATED TO 
THIS PROGRAM. 
 
WHEREAS, the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2022 (Public Law 117-103) 
appropriated $200 million for new incremental vouchers to increase the special fees and 
authorized vouchers for Public Housing Authorities through an allocation formula determined by 
the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD); and, 
WHEREAS, the Glendale Housing Authority was automatically awarded an additional 17 
Housing Choice Vouchers (HCV) through the allocation method for a total award of $236,639 
and may be eligible for additional allocations if other agencies decline to accept their awards. 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: 
 
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby accepts the full allocation of 17 HCVs 
identified in the award letter dated September 23, 2022 ($223,889.00 for Housing Assistance 
Payments and $12,750.00 for Special Fees) effective October 1, 2022 and authorizes the 
acceptance of additional vouchers under this program not to exceed $500,000. 
 
SECTION 2. That the Mayor or City Manager and the City Clerk be authorized and 
directed to execute and deliver all agreements and documents necessary to administer this 
program on behalf of the City of Glendale. 
 
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of 
Glendale, Maricopa County, Arizona, this 11th day of October, 2022.
