RESOLUTION NO. R22-116
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GLENDALE,
MARICOPA
COUNTY,
ARIZONA,
AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A SPORTS FIELD
DONATION WITH AN APPROXIMATE VALUE OF $175,000
FROM FIESTA EVENTS, INC., A FOUNDATION OF THE
FIESTA BOWL ORGANIZATION, AS PART OF THE FIESTA
BOWL CHARITIES PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, as part of its charitable mission, Fiesta Events, Inc., a foundation of the Fiesta
Bowl organization, assists and supports the greater Phoenix Metropolitan community by, among
other things, donating football fields to community-based organizations, such as the City of
Glendale; and
WHEREAS, the City of Glendale was selected as the recipient of a Fiesta Bowl Charities
project that includes the donation of a turf sports field valued at approximately $175,000 for
community youth and amateur sports and recreational activities; and
WHEREAS, Fiesta Events, Inc. and the City of Glendale are entering into this Agreement
to memorialize the donation.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Glendale hereby authorizes the
acceptance of the Fiesta Bowl Charities donation with an approximate value of $175,000 for the
turf sports field for O’Neil Park, through an agreement with Fiesta Events, Inc., a foundation of
the Fiesta Bowl organization, which agreement is now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the
City of Glendale.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized and directed to
execute any and all documents necessary for the submission and acceptance of said donation on
behalf of the City of Glendale.
