RESOLUTION NO. R22-117 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
GLENDALE, 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY, 
ARIZONA, 
AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE AND EXPENDITURE OF THE 
VISIT ARIZONA INITIATIVE (VAI) MARKETING GRANT 
PROGRAM AWARD FROM THE ARIZONA OFFICE OF 
TOURISM, IN THE APPROXIMATE AMOUNT OF $249,270 
FOR THE VISIT GLENDALE PROJECT ON BEHALF OF THE 
GLENDALE CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAU. 
 
WHEREAS, the City of Glendale requested grant funding from the Arizona Office of 
Tourism for the Visit Glendale project; and  
 
WHEREAS, the Arizona Office of Tourism Visit Arizona Initiative (VAI) Marketing 
Grant Program has awarded the city $249,270.  
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: 
 
SECTION 1.  That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and the 
citizens thereof to accept and enter into the Arizona Office of Tourism Visit Arizona Initiative 
(VAI) Marketing Grant Program Agreement (NO. GR-ARPA-09162022-02-050) award for the 
Visit Glendale project on behalf of the Glendale Convention and Visitor’s Bureau. 
 
SECTION 2.  That the City of Glendale accept and expend the $249,270 grant award. 
 
SECTION 3.  That the City Manager or designee and the City Clerk be authorized and 
directed to execute, deliver, and record and documents necessary to effectuate the purposes of 
this resolution.
