This Amendment No. 1 ("Amendment") to the LIBRARY ELECTRONIC SERVICES AND
RESOURCES ("Agreement") is made this ___ day of ____ , 20

Date"), by and between the City of Glendale, an Arizona municipal corporation ("City") and
EBSCO Information Services, LLC,
a
Delaware
corporation
authorized
to
do
business in Arizona ("Contractor").
RECITALS
A.
City and Ebsco Publishing, Inc. ("Contractor") previously entered into an agreement
for library electronic services and resources, Contract No. C20-0850, dated October
8, 2020 ("Agreement''); and
B.
The Agreement had an initial two-year term beginning October 8, 2020 through
October 7, 2022 and provided the option to extend for an additional three (3) years,
in one-year increments.
C.
The Parties agree to amend the Consultant's compensation for services rendered,
including those furnished by its Subconsultants to not exceed $70,000 for the entire
term.
D.
City and Contractor wish to modify and amend the Agreement subject to and strictly
in accordance with the terms of this Amendment.
AGREEMENT
In consideration of the mutual promises set forth herein and other good and valuable
consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged, the City and
Contractor hereby agree as follows:
1.
Recitals. The recitals set forth above are not merely recitals, but form an integral part
of this Amendment.
2.
Tenn. The term of the Agreement is extended for one year and shall expire on
October 7, 2023.
3.
Scope of Work. Scope of Work is changed to include access to two additional
databases, Novelist Select and Fiero Code. Novelist Select is a database that will
recommend other titles based on series, author, reading level, and genres. Fiero Code
is a self-paced learn-to-code software for kids ages 8-18.
