RESOLUTION NO. R23-04
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GLENDALE,
MARICOPA
COUNTY,
ARIZONA,
RETROACTIVELY AUTHORIZING THE ENTERING INTO
THE GOVERNMENT AGENCY ELECTRONIC DATA ACCESS
AGREEMENT (GEN-22-0008864-M) WITH THE ARIZONA
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR ACCESS TO
THE MOTOR VEHICLE DIVISION’S DATA BASE.
WHEREAS, the Electronic Database Access Agreement was entered into August 24, 2006
and has been extended every three years since that time. The existing Agreement expired on April
26, 2022.
WHEREAS, this Agreement will extend the City of Glendale’s Human Resources & Risk
Management Department, Developmental Services Department, and Code Compliance access to
the Motor Vehicle Division database.
WHEREAS, this Agreement further allows authorized department users to the motor
vehicle records request system to retrieve the driving, title and registration records for all
employees in driving positions, records to identify property owners responsible for violations, in
addition to information to issue parking citations and civil and criminal charges for city code
violations.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows:
SECTION 1. That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and the citizens
thereof that the Government Agency Electronic Data Access Agreement (GEN-22-0008864-M)
be entered into, which agreement is now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of
Glendale.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager or designee and the City Clerk be retroactively
authorized to execute and deliver any and all documents necessary to effectuate said amendment
on behalf of the City of Glendale.
