RESOLUTION NO. R23-42 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
GLENDALE, 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY, 
ARIZONA, 
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ENTERING INTO OF 
AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE 
MARICOPA 
ASSOCIATION 
OF 
GOVERNMENTS 
(AGREEMENT NO. 1137A-0E TASK ORDER 16) FOR THE 
67TH AVENUE BIKE LANES PHASE II PROJECT. 
 
WHEREAS, the Federal Government has approved funds through the Federal Highway 
Administration (“FHWA”) agency to the City of Glendale to construct bicycle lanes on 67th 
Avenue between Cholla Street and Greenway Road (“Project”); and  
 
WHEREAS, the “FHWA” will be responsible for 94.3% of the “Project” and the city will 
be responsible for 5.7% of the “Project.” 
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: 
 
SECTION 1.  That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and the citizens 
thereof to enter into the Intergovernmental Agreement with the Maricopa Association of 
Governments (MAG) for the construction of bicycle lanes on 67th Avenue between Cholla Street 
and Greenway Road (MAG Agreement No. 1137A-0E Task Order 16), which agreement is now 
on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Glendale.  
 
SECTION 2.  That the City Manager or designee and City Clerk are authorized and directed 
to execute and deliver any and all documents necessary to effectuate said Agreement on behalf of 
the City of Glendale.
