A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GLENDALE,
MARICOPA
COUNTY,
ARIZONA,
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ENTERING INTO OF
AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY
OF PHOENIX FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A HAWK (HIGH-
INTENSITY
ACTIVATED
CROSSWALK)
SIGNAL
AT
CAMELBACK ROAD AND 53RD AVENUE IN THE CITY OF
GLENDALE.
WHEREAS, the City of Glendale will be constructing a HAWK (High-Intensity Activated
Crosswalk) signal on Camelback Road east the 53rd Avenue intersection.
WHEREAS, the placement of the HAWK will help promote pedestrian safety in the area.
WHEREAS, the City of Glendale will be the lead agency overseeing the construction of
the HAWK.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows:
SECTION 1. That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and the citizens
thereof that an intergovernmental agreement with the City of Phoenix for the installation of a
HAWK signal at Camelback Road and 53rd Avenue, be entered into, which agreement is now on
file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Glendale.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager or designee and the City Clerk be authorized and
directed to execute and deliver any and all documents necessary to effectuate said Agreement on
behalf of the City of Glendale.
