RESOLUTION NO. R23-72
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GLENDALE,
MARICOPA
COUNTY,
ARIZONA,
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ENTERING INTO OF
AN
INTERGOVERNMENTAL
AGREEMENT
WITH
MARICOPA COUNTY FOR THE EXCHANGE OF SERVICES
(ENTENTE).
WHEREAS, the Parties desire to develop and implement a cooperative highway
improvement and resource exchange program whereby routine or emergency highway
maintenance will be implemented more efficiently (Entente Program); and
WHEREAS, the Entente Program is designed to focus on the availability of resources and
is a method of providing goods and services to each Party by entering into temporary Letters of
Agreement (LOA); and
WHEREAS, the Parties desire to enter into this agreement to establish procedures to
authorize the County’s Department of Transportation Director, or designee, and the City Manager,
or designee, to enter into LOAs to exchange goods or services between each Party in order to
perform routine or emergency highway maintenance services.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows:
SECTION 1. That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and the citizens
thereof that the Intergovernmental Agreement with the Maricopa County Department of
Transportation for the exchange of services be entered into, which agreement is now on file in the
office of the City Clerk of the City of Glendale.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager or designee and the City Clerk be authorized and
directed to execute and deliver any and all documents necessary to effectuate said Agreement on
behalf of the City of Glendale.
