A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
GLENDALE, 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY, 
ARIZONA, 
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ENTERING INTO OF 
AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE U.S. 
DEPARTMENT 
OF 
TRANSPORTATION 
FEDERAL 
HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION (AWARD NO. 693JJ32340355) 
FOR ACCEPTANCE AND EXPENDITURE OF THE SAFE 
STREETS 
FOR 
ALL 
GRANT 
FUNDING 
FOR 
THE 
DEVELOPMENT OF A SAFETY ACTION PLAN.  
 
WHEREAS, the Federal Government, through the Federal Highway Administration 
(“FHWA”), has granted federal funding in the amount of $799,834 to the City of Glendale to 
develop a safety action plan; and 
 
WHEREAS, the “FHWA” will be responsible for 80% of the plan development cost and 
the City will be responsible for 20% of the plan development cost. 
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: 
 
SECTION 1.  That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and the citizens 
thereof that the Intergovernmental Agreement with the Federal Highway Administration (Award 
No. 693JJ32340355) for acceptance and expenditure of Safe Streets for All (SS4A) grant funding 
for the development of a Safety Action plan, be entered into, which agreement is now on file in 
the office of the City Clerk of the City of Glendale.  
 
SECTION 2.  That the City Manager or designee and the City Clerk be authorized and 
directed to execute, file and deliver said Agreement on behalf of the City of Glendale.  
 
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of
