Modern Data Platform

The Modern Data Platform Project is a foundational initiative in 
the overall digital transformation strategy for the City of 
Glendale.
Data Lake management and governance will make data more 
consumable and trustworthy by enabling the City to protect data 
more systematically and to build processes defining who owns 
what data, how data can be used, and more.

Revenues & Expenditures=Total 6 Files

Validate the Summary & Detail data export
•
Manually exclude Pass-Through/Offsetting Revenues & Expenditures, Debt, and Contingency
•
Copy and paste query output to the Mapping Sheet
•
Update Mapping Sheet translation values for any new Object Codes/Funds
Update Summary Narratives = 1 hour
  
Review and Publish Report = 1 hour

• Data assets will be maintained and updated within 
the tool
• Enterprise Business Glossary will be maintained in 
the platform
o New and updated business terms will go 
through an automated workflow for approval
• The roles and responsibilities for data stewards will 
be managed in the tool
