RESOLUTION NO. R23-77  
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
GLENDALE, 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY, 
ARIZONA, 
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ENTERING INTO OF 
AN 
INTERGOVERNMENTAL 
AGREEMENT 
WITH 
MARICOPA COUNTY FOR THE MUTUAL WAIVER OF 
TRAFFIC CONTROL FEES.  
 
WHEREAS, there are cases in which either party has a project or event and require permits 
for the use of traffic control devices in the right-of-way for proper notice and safety; and  
 
WHEREAS, it has been determined that these circumstances occur an estimated five (5) 
times per year, and that the costs of the permits issued by each party is estimated to total less than 
$1,000 in fees per year; and   
 
WHEREAS, it has been deemed reasonable to waive the traffic control permit fees in these 
cases, as both parties derive a benefit. 
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: 
 
SECTION 1.  That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and the citizens 
thereof that the Intergovernmental Agreement with the Maricopa County Department of 
Transportation for the mutual waiver of traffic control fees be entered into, which agreement is 
now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Glendale. 
 
SECTION 2.  That the City Manager or designee and the City Clerk be authorized and 
directed to execute and deliver any and all documents necessary to effectuate said Agreement on 
behalf of the City of Glendale.
