RESOLUTION NO. R23-86 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE, MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ENTERING INTO OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF ARIZONA, OFFICE OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL, AND AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE AND EXPENDITURE OF THE FY 2024 VICTIMS’ RIGHTS PROGRAM AWARD (A.G. #2024-044) IN THE APPROXIMATE AMOUNT OF $53,700 ON BEHALF OF THE GLENDALE POLICE DEPARTMENT. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: SECTION 1. That the City Council authorizes the City Manager or designee to enter into an agreement with the State of Arizona, Office of the Attorney General, and accept the FY 2024 Victims’ Rights Program Award (A.G. #2024-044) in the approximate amount of $53,700, on behalf of the Glendale Police Department, to support the direct costs of implementing victims’ rights laws. The agreement is now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Glendale. SECTION 2. That the City Council authorizes the expenditure of the award by the Glendale Police Department to support the direct costs of implementing victims’ rights laws. SECTION 3. That the City Manager or designee and the City Clerk be authorized and directed to execute all documents necessary to enter into the agreement and for the acceptance and expenditure of the award on behalf of the City of Glendale.
