A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
GLENDALE, 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY, 
ARIZONA, 
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ENTERING INTO A 
SUBGRANT 
AGREEMENT 
(NO.2023-200) 
WITH 
THE 
ARIZONA DEPARTMENT PUBLIC SAFELY; AUTHORIZING 
THE ACCEPTANCE AND EXPENDITURE OF THE VICTIMS 
OF CRIME ACT (VOCA) VICTIM ASSISTANCE GRANT 
PROGRAM AWARD IN THE APPROXIMATE AMOUNT OF 
$185,372; AND APPROVING MATCHING FUNDS IN THE 
AMOUNT OF $46,343 FOR THE GLENDALE POLICE 
DEPARTMENT 
VICTIM 
ASSISTANCE 
CRISIS 
INTERVENTION AFTER HOURS PROJECT.     
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: 
 
SECTION 1.  That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale authorizes the 
City Manager to enter into a Subgrant Award Agreement No. 2023-200 with the Arizona 
Department of Public Safety, and accept the VOCA victim assistance grant program award funds 
in the approximate amount $185,372 on behalf of the City of Glendale Police Department for the 
Victim Assistance Crisis Intervention After Hours Project.  
 
SECTION 2.  That the City Council of the City of Glendale authorizes expenditure of the 
grant award for the Glendale Police Department to provide assistance to victims of crime.   
 
 
SECTION 3. That the City of Glendale will commit to the required matching funds in the 
amount $46,343.  
 
 
SECTION 4. That the City Manager or designee and the City Clerk be authorized and 
directed to execute any and all documents necessary to enter into said agreement and for the 
acceptance and expenditure of said grant award on behalf of the City of Glendale.
