RESOLUTION NO. R23-101 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
GLENDALE, 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY, 
ARIZONA, 
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ENTERING INTO OF 
AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY 
OF PEORIA FOR DEFINING ROADWAY SIGNING AND 
PAVEMENT MARKING MAINTENANCE. 
 
WHEREAS, the City of Glendale and City of Peoria wish to enter into an 
Intergovernmental Agreement (“IGA”) pursuant to A.R.S. §§ 9-240, 9-276, and 11-952 to define 
installation and maintenance responsibilities for signing, pavement markings, and other traffic 
control placed along boundary roadways between Glendale and Peoria. Roadways included in this 
agreement are streets or street segments bordering both Glendale and Peoria with the right-of-way 
divided between both Parties. 
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: 
 
SECTION 1.  That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and the citizens 
thereof that the Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of Glendale for defining roadway 
signing and payment marking maintenance. 
 
SECTION 2.  That the City Manager or designee and the City Clerk are authorized and 
directed to execute and deliver such agreement on behalf of the City of Glendale.  
 
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of
