RESOLUTION NO. R23-104 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE, MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ENTERING INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY AND MILITARY AFFAIRS; AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE AND EXPENDITURE OF THE FY 2023 ANTI-HUMAN TRAFFICKING GRANT FUND PROGRAM AWARD IN THE APPROXIMATE AMOUNT OF $499,711.62; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ENTERING INTO A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE ARIZONA ANTI-TRAFFICKING NETWORK. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: SECTION 1. That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and authorizes the City Manager to enter into an Agreement with the State of Arizona Department of Emergency and Military Affairs and accept the grant award, in the approximate amount of $499,711.62, for the FY 2023 Anti-Human Trafficking Grant Fund Program Award, which the agreement is now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Glendale. SECTION 2. That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and authorizes the City Manager to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Arizona Anti-Trafficking Network as a formal commitment and active participation in the programming required by the FY 2023 Anti-Human Trafficking Grant Fund Program, which memorandum is now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Glendale. SECTION 2. That the City Manager or designee and the City Clerk be authorized and directed to execute all documents necessary on behalf of the City of Glendale.
