GLENDALE, MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA, RATIFYING 
THE ACCEPTANCE AND EXPENDITURE OF AN AWARD 
(NO. 
15PBJA-23-GG-02689-COVE) 
FROM

PROGRAMS IN THE APPROXIMATE AMOUNT OF $420,426 
UNDER THE FUNDING OPPORTUNITY ENTITLED “BJA FY 
23 PAUL COVERDELL FORENSIC SCIENCE IMPROVEMENT 
GRANTS PROGRAM” ON BEHALF OF THE GLENDALE 
POLICE DEPARTMENT. 
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: 
 
SECTION 1.  That the City Council of the City of Glendale ratifies the acceptance and 
expenditure of an award (No. 15PBJA-23-GG-02689-COVE) under the “BJA FY 23 Paul 
Coverdell Forensic Science Improvement Grants Program” in the amount of $420,426 from the 
U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Program on behalf of the Glendale Police 
Department. The grant documents are now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of 
Glendale.  
 
SECTION 2.  That the City Manager or designee and the City Clerk are authorized and 
directed to execute any and all documents necessary on behalf of the city of Glendale, retroactive 
to November 1, 2023. 
 
 
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of 
Glendale, Maricopa County, Arizona, this 12th day of December, 2023.
