RESOLUTION NO. R23-111
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GLENDALE,
MARICOPA
COUNTY,
ARIZONA,
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ENTERING INTO
AMENDMENT 1 OF THE JOINT AGENCY AGREEMENT
WITH THE MARICOPA ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENTS
FOR THE ROADWAY SAFETY PROGRAM FOR SAFETY
IMPROVEMENTS ON OLIVE AVENUE BETWEEN 59TH
AVENUE AND 67TH AVENUE INTERSECTIONS IN THE CITY
OF GLENDALE.
WHEREAS, on September 13, 2022, City Council approved the entering into of a Joint
Agency Agreement with the Maricopa Association of Governments for the roadway safety
program for safety improvements on Olive Avenue between 59th Avenue and 67th Avenue
intersections in the City of Glendale (Contract No. C22-0931); and
WHEREAS, the City of Glendale Transportation Department is seeking for City Council
to confirm its authorization of the acceptance and expenditure of the allocated grant funds of
$301,664.00.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows:
SECTION 1. That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and the citizens
thereof that Amendment 1 to the Joint Agency Agreement with the Maricopa Association of
Governments for the roadway safety program for safety improvements on Olive Avenue between
59th Avenue and 67th Avenue intersections (“Project”) (Contract No. C22-0931, City Capital
Improvement Plan # CIPST23014), be entered into, which agreement is now on file in the office
of the City Clerk of the City of Glendale.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager or designee and the City Clerk be authorized and
directed to execute and deliver any and all documents necessary to effectuate said Agreement on
behalf of the City of Glendale.
