RESOLUTION NO. R24-06 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
GLENDALE, 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY, 
ARIZONA, 
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ENTERING INTO OF 
AMENDMENT 
ONE 
TO 
AN 
INTERGOVERNMENTAL 
AGREEMENT (ADOT CAR NO 16-0006250-I) WITH ARIZONA 
DEPARTMENT 
OF 
TRANSPORTATION 
FOR 
THE 
INSTALLATION OF FLASHING YELLOW ARROWS. 
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: 
 
WHEREAS, on February 14, 2017, City Council approved the entering into a 
Intergovernmental Agreement with the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) (ADOT 
CAR NO 16-0006250-I) for the installation of Flashing Yellow Arrows at various intersections 
within the City.  
 
WHEREAS, an amendment to the contract is needed to reallocate funding from the 
construction phase to the design phase of the project and amend the number of intersection that 
will be covered by the project. 
 
SECTION 1.  That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and the citizens 
thereof that amendment one to the Intergovernmental Agreement (ADOT CAR NO 16-0006250-
I City contract number C17-0144) for the installation of Flashing Yellow Arrows (“Project”) be 
entered into which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Glendale.  
 
SECTION 2.  That the City Manager or designee and City Clerk are authorized and directed 
to execute and deliver such agreement on behalf of the City of Glendale.  
 
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of 
Glendale, Maricopa County, Arizona, this 13th day of February, 2024.
